Another heavy week with IA prep, EPRR training delivery, engaging with planned IM&T downtime , supporting preparations for the GMMajor Trauma Hospital & in the throes of the melee, we filmed the final talking head section of the new NCA HazMat / CBRN training video! 🤪beer time!

Despite ongoing pressures, NCA EPRRU continues to prepare for all worst case scenarios via continual training based on incident learning and well honed horizon scanning. The latest addition to the HazMat CBRN course now includes full management of the contaminated deceased

The Northern Care Alliance NHS FT EPRRU welcomes new team members EPSO’s (Emergency Planning Support Officers) Josh McKenna & Mohammed Zahaib. These guys are have hit the ground running in a baptism of fire and their enthusiasm is keeping us on our toes!

Today the NCA EPRRU said goodbye to EPO Mark Pickard who, after five years exemplary service through the most arduous history of the NHS, is leaving us to commence an EPRR managerial role at Bolton NHS FT. An emotional day for the team & we wish him all the best in his new role

A brillient day yesterday at the Northern Care Alliance Armed Forces Covenant reaffirmation ceremony with our CEO Dr Owen Williams resigning the NCA Armed Forces Covenant in the presence of Lord Luitenant of Greater Manchester, kickstarting the NCA Armed Forces week celebrations.

RIP, still raw and a day of self care for the NCA EPRRU Team. Thoughts are with the families and responders.
