The Sentinel Project has launched a digital literacy pilot program in Kenya's Tana Delta, aiming to provide youth with skills which will allow them to counter incendiary misinformation that contributes to unrest and violence: t.ly/3rZtE
We're on the ground in South Sudan this month with our @hagigawahid team, training new coordinators who will support our project on misinformation management and conflict early warning in six different locations across the country.
Here at the Sentinel Project, we have compiled some ways that you can use technology and online platforms to raise awareness, mobilize action, and provide assistance to those affected by atrocities.

There is increasing anti-Tutsi hostility in eastern #DRCongo. Inter-ethnic tensions are not new but distrust of Tutsi people is growing since it is often assumed that they support the M23 rebels. As fighting continues, it is important to counter inflammatory rhetoric.
Here is a photo of one of the #IDP camps near the town of Sake, #NorthKivu province of #DRCongo. The worsening conflict between rebels and government forces is causing mass displacement as people flee their homes.
One of our team members took these photos of the hills close to the village of Mitumbala, a zone where M23 rebels and government forces are involved in heavy fighting. The conflict in #NorthKivu is getting worse, and we must pay more attention to what's happening in the #DRCongo.
