Hey, Flutter developers, I need your help! 🙏 I spent the weekend vibe-coding a full office suite in Flutter & Serverpod, and it actually turned out amazing. 🤩 Meet Wonky Write, Sheets, Slides, and Drive. Full offline-first support with real-time sync. Built for developers.
The Write app is great for Markdown and is already somewhat stable. However, I'm no expert in Sheets and Slides. 😅 So, I built a system where you can report bugs and suggest improvements. The issues can be upvoted, and the top ones are selected for development. Helping build this is super easy, too. Just install Serverpod, fork and clone the repo, and paste the pre-written prompt into your coding agent using a frontier model. The agent will ask you to review the changes, then it creates a PR. Wonky has an agent that reviews PRs and verifies they match the tasks.
This is like a new way of collective vibe-coding. We can build this together into the office suite of our dreams! 🦄

Happy to announce my first @ServerpodDev contract project! 🚀
It’s a ride-hailing app for Mauritania 🇲🇷, and I went full-stack Dart for this one @FlutterDev + Serverpod.
The app is currently under review on the App Store, while the Android version is in internal testing on Google Play.
Big thanks to the Serverpod team for building such an easy-to-use framework. It’s been a great experience building full-stack with Dart!

Over 90% of the 600 Flutter developers I recently surveyed are now using AI to generate code. That’s not surprising. AI makes us dramatically faster. But faster code generation does not automatically produce better software.
AI-generated code can look polished and convincing while hiding:
• Poor architectural decisions.
• Security vulnerabilities.
• Duplicated or incomplete implementations.
• Subtle logic errors.
• Technical debt that becomes expensive later.
The developer’s role is changing. We are moving from writing every line ourselves to directing AI, giving it the right context, and aggressively reviewing what it produces.
I wrote a blog post about how to write high-quality code in the age of AI, drawing on my experiences at Serverpod and as a senior software engineer at large companies such as Google and Zynga.

I just tried out the new Beta from @ServerpodDev - and wow does it feel magical! I totally love how much I'm able to just stay in my agentic coding session, have changes reflected on both the frontend/backend, and have the bundled GH actions to keep things consistent as part of the starting template is so slick!

Two evenings of vibe coding and I got an AI + @ServerpodDev + Flutter up and running in a web browser (served from a Docker container). Full stack hot reload and all. I basically built a better version of Lovable. 😅
