Exactly this. Valve has held gaming back for years by locking developers’ PC games into Steamworks’ social walled garden where players can’t talk to other players on iOS, Android, Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, or even other PC stores.

Nobody is forced to use Steamworks.
A lot of games use Steamworks only for authentication to allow for crossplay and do the rest themselves.

Tennessee just got HOSED by Vegas, and if you have eyes, I hope you saw it. They juiced the Vols ML to PLUS MONEY just for the refs to make calls against Tennessee all day and take your money. Blatant corruption. Gambling has ruined sports. It’s all entertainment for profit now.

I was fully on board with the legalization of sports betting when the flood gates opened. Shortly thereafter, I was totally convinced it was a mistake because of the *possibility* of skullduggery and rigging of games.
