Seventy-nine years ago today, Indian forces landed in Srinagar, and a long night fell over Jammu & Kashmir.
For nearly eight decades, the Kashmiri people have been denied their inalienable right to self-determination, a right affirmed by the UN Security Council. They have endured repression, incarceration and immense suffering, yet their resolve has never broken.
On this solemn day, I pay tribute to the countless Kashmiri men, women and children whose sacrifices keep the flame of freedom alive. Aspirations rooted in justice cannot be extinguished by coercion.
Pakistan stands with Kashmir today and always. We will continue our moral, diplomatic and political support until this dispute is resolved in accordance with UNSC resolutions and the will of the Kashmiri people.

Putin Says Russia Offered India Joint Su-57 Production
Russian President Vladimir Putin said
Russia had offered India the opportunity to jointly develop the Su-57 fighter jet, but India chose not to participate, leading Russia to develop it independently.
Russia has no problems with India and remains ready for defence cooperation, including on the S-500 air defence system.

On October 27, 1947, the 1st Battalion of the Sikh Regiment landed at Srinagar airfield, marking a historic moment in India's military history.
The Indian Army's swift response repelled Pakistan-backed tribal invaders and helped save Jammu & Kashmir.
Today, we salute the Infantry. The guys who go out into any terrain, in any weather, with or without backup or air support, and get the job done.
From the mountains to the deserts, from the LOC to the LAC, they stand tall when it matters most.
