I know speaking to the media is one of his job requirements, but I hope he knows that I am just one of tens of thousands of people he inspires, simply by being himself, in front of the camera…
#Browns WR KC Concepcion: "I play this game with so much heart, so much effort. I'm finally glad that Browns fans and the Browns community was finally able to see what I can bring to this team."

POWERFUL: #Browns rookie WR KC Concepcion has battled a stutter his entire life but he still makes it a point to speak with the media after every game. KC continues to show incredible courage and is an inspiration to everyone who struggles with a stutter.

Gambling is becoming a wider issue. Searches for "problem gambling" continue to soar. Stanford just put out a study that shows the insane increase in sports betting and the (growing) issues surrounding it ifdm.stanford.edu/sites/g/fi…

From @WSJFreeEx via @WSJOpinion: Jonathan spent 50 years building a village, one person at a time. When he died, the village came home. The lesson is simple: If you want people to show up for you, spend your life showing up for them, writes @DovidMCohen. on.wsj.com/4x8e6ms

The day has come. Would love to introduce ya'll to CK ACADEMY. We soft-launched our first course last week and already have 160 (!!) sign-ups, and more than 80 have already opened retirement accounts. Holy darn. The first course is teaching financial basics to Jewish newlyweds. Why? So years later, they hopefully won't need any of our other services. “You gotta teach this earlier”, “I honestly wish I learned this stuff when I was getting married”. This is what we're hearing so far. We’re gonna be teaching thousands of young couples the financial basics to start off their married life on the right foot. We don’t judge and we don’t point fingers. We find holes in the system and try filling them. With darn good classes and mentorship. Courses to come include: - Helping single moms during the tough transition phase post-divorce - In-depth budgeting for a Jewish family - Financial basics for high schools Excited for you to join the ride! It’s time we change the narrative. We just gettin started.

As a little boy growing up in West Rogers Park in Chicago, I had dreams. Big dreams. But my doubts were overwhelming. Can I get there? Will my speech get in the way? Can I do it? This Chicago JUF 36 Under 36 is another encouraging sign that “Goodman, even if you aint fluent, that’s aight. Keep pushing!” I hope one young person who stutters sees this and is inspired to keep pushing to have his voice heard. Oh, and I had some fun with the interview. Hope you enjoy.

I really think what Polymarket, Kalshi, etc are doing to young men is very, very bad. I don't think it should be illegal. But I do think that in 10-20 years, we will see some major issues with a generation guys who developed gambling addictions at a very young age.

It was fall 1994 My family moved to Chicago from St. Louis. I was one and half years old. And my Dad, who I write a lot about, was feeling super humbled. Just been through cancer. Told he couldn’t have more kids. He had just started his new investment advisory business and barely had clients (his first event has just his father in attendance). My dad has told me this story dozens of times: Reb Noah Wolff, a legendary holy man who was a leader in the Chicago community who sadly passed away last week at age 99 (or 100. I’m not sure), showed up at my parents home with a gorgeous cake. “Shmuel, we’re so excited to have you in town. See you tomorrow morning. I’m picking you up and I’m taking you to shul (synagogue)” I get emotional just writing that. Thank gd my folks have earned a great reputation in town and are staples themselves. But when they arrived, they knew barely anyone. And here was a leader bringing them into the fold. No fanfare. Just showing em the ropes. Taking them under his wings. Humbly. Classily. It’s a big lesson for all of us. Have an eye out for that newbie. For the downtrodden. For the guy that needs that extra love. Bring em into the cool-guy club. It changes and impacts generations. I promise you. May the memory for Reb Noah be for a massive blessing. The picture, from L to R: Reb Ephraim Moscowitz, Uncle Don Spetner, my grandfather Jimmy Goodman, Reb Noah Wolff

Just wrapped up my first visit to Chicago. I have to admit… I seriously underrated this city. I came because my close friend @ShalomGood told me I had to check out his brother Rabbi Ari’s annual White Party for Chicago’s young Jewish professionals. I’m glad I listened. Over the next 36 hours, we wrapped Tefillin with north of 200 men, met countless incredible Jews, and made friendships I know will last a lifetime. Rabbi Avraham Kagan also invited me to host a lunch with some of Chicago’s top Jewish founders, investors, and tech leaders. The conversations were unforgettable. While I was in town, the Federation asked me to speak to law enforcement and security leaders from across the country, thanking them for protecting the Jewish community and sharing a few thoughts about our spiritual security. And I can’t leave out the food. I finally got to eat at Zalmen’s again. It’s the same place I loved back when I was in high school in Israel. I loved it so much, I went twice. Thank you to everyone who made this trip so special. Chicago, I’ll definitely be back. Looking forward to making this a regular stop on the wrapping journey.

This is an article four years in the making. I’m someone who has a nice stutter, and it’s a big part of me. How would it impact my kids? Would it? That’s been a real fear of mine for so many years. Thank g-d my oldest, Elisha, is now beginning to speak. And the fears are are amping up big time. Will he stutter? If he stuttered, what that would mean. I wrote about it the WSJ’s Opinion pages and in tomorrow’s paper. Check it out:) Would love your thoughts.

OPINION | "Jewish communities know how to help a family in crisis; emergencies are, for better or worse, our specialty... What we do not know how to do — and what a growing number of families actually need — is to help them with debt." By @ShalomGood ejphil.com/55pdi

I watched my father do something two times in two months, and it’s really been on my mind. First, my grandma, his mother, who was 95, had two weeks of hospice before her passing. It’s a stressful time. It’s hard. It’s complex. People are not experienced in the hospice period. And my father was so thankful and impressed by the care of the specialized Hospice care. A month and a half later, my parents stayed at some random hotel for Passover. He loved it. He “slept better”. This was a Double Tree By Hilton. And he again felt so appreciative. So, Gd love him, he found the numbers of the owner of the CEO of Hospice of the Valley, and the Manager of the Double Tree. “Hey. Zero complaints. I just want to tell you how thankful I am for the care your team provided. They were so helpful every step of the way”. He included specific names of employees who helped them. For both the Hospice company and the hotel. That’s it. No agenda. Nothing to gain. No bonus rewards. Just trying to make the world a better place. Trying to make a good name for the Jews. Being. a. mench. I feel like people need to be doing this more. We’re so fast to crap on a company, an airline, a hotel, anything/ But when service is good, how fast do we, if ever, thank the service providers. That’s all. Have a great day. (Photo of my dad wrapping Tefillin with a hospice nurse, who wrapped for the very first time in his life.)
