My daughter saw me struggling with my disease today. I try my best to be as "normal" as I can be, but ALS is relentless. Then I see that she left me this note... I don't know what I did to deserve this kid, but I'm glad she's here.

Your tired is not the same tired as someone with a chronic illness. Our fatigue makes us feel like there is poison in our veins, as if each limb weighs 1000x pounds and trying to move through wet cement. You go to sleep and recharge. We don’t. That’s the difference.
