Thank you to everyone who has helped make these mini-grants possible. Over the years as a student, teacher & dean, I've seen how support like this can make a positive difference.
UASYS STUDENTS: In a bind that's holding you back from your studies? Time for one of the coolest things we do: Tell us your situation & get in the mix to receive a mini-grant to move you along - all thanks to former @ClintonSchool Dean @JLRIII .

I invite you to honor my mother, #CorettaScottKing, with me.
Without her, there would be no federal holiday commemorating my father’s birthday.
And @TheKingCenter, which she founded less than three months after Daddy was assassinated, would not exist.
I’m grateful for her commitment to freedom, true peace, justice, and Kingian nonviolence.
I’m inspired by her love for humanity, her faith in God, and her consistency to purpose.
Salute, Mama.

As overwhelming as it is to be so busy in a month that you work on Sundays to catch up, there is something so calming about being in that office space uninterrupted.
Productive hours not spent scrambling- just organized and efficient.

Obama: The man holds this rally and the warm up speakers were peddling the most racist, sexist, bigoted stereotypes. One guy called Puerto Rico an “island of garbage.” These are fellow citizens he’s talking about. Here in Philadelphia, they are your neighbors, they are your friends, they are your coworkers.. their kids go to school with your kids. These are Americans. That is the reason why this election should not be close. Here is a good rule: if somebody doesn’t respect you, doesn’t see you as fellow citizens.. you should not vote for them.
my heart is heavy and I’m tired of feeling so sad and overwhelmed. grief is hard.

What a front page. Our state and local newspapers are going to save our democracy. THIS is how it’s done. Bravo, Winston-Salem Journal

@BetoORourke and I had the honor of visiting the legendary Willie Nelson’s ranch. It doesn’t get more Texas than Willie.

Hey Journalism friends, @mcrecordonline has an opening for the editor’s position. It’s a great job and I’d argue you’d be working with great people.
And we’re award winning!
Please pass the word around! (Like how I did that?)
