I believe very little I read on X; most of the things I do believe, I disagree with. And yet I persist.

Am I the only one person to think that it's disgusting that the King hosted a banquet for less than 200 people that took 5 days to set the table (far less the preparation of the food) while there so many children in the country dependant on food banks?

Thank you to @AvantiWestCoast & @TPExpressTrains train managers this morning on Euston and Glasgow bound trains for their understanding when I foolishly got on the wrong train at Motherwell and ended up I Carlisle instead of Edinburgh.

I am a mature stud! Or so it appears - I seem to be attracting young female followers by the truckload. They all appear to have joined X in October 2023. They must all be gutted when I block them. Sorry girls.

Has @purecremation surveyed people who attend funerals to find out how many bathe AFTER attending? It's the only explanation for their TV advert. 🤣

For what it's worth, I think Ross County are going to get pumped this Sunday lunchtime.

If it achieves nothing else, X shows us how many wrong ends of a single stick people can grab when responding to a post with a clear meaning.

Here's something to start a conversation. Before the police can interview a suspect they have to caution them, i.e. tell them that they don't need to answer. Why don't journalists have to do the same when confronting or doorstepping individuals?

Surely if, as we are being told continually just now, there is a faint and fading appetite in Scotland for independence, this is exactly the time that Westminster should grant #InydRef2 to prove themselves correct?

Does anyone in Scotland like/approve of the front page of today's The National @ScotNational? I have not seen one positive comment on Twitter/X from anyone.

I have now, belatedly I admit, come to the firm conclusion that if you adhere to the adage "if you can't say something nice, say nothing at all", Twitter/X is not the place for you. There are some rotten bastards on here.

Now that the date of the GE has been announced, I’m putting party activists of all stripes on warning. Do not knock my door when Scotland are playing in the Euros. You will not secure my vote.

Watching @richardosman House of Games. At the end titles does anyone else almost start singing "No More Heroes" before the tune goes in a different direction? No? Just me then.

Just watching "The Cuckoo" on Channel 5. Why do all of the psychopaths in these dramas drive old Saabs? And should I worry that my wife has an old Saab?

For what it is worth, in my opinion the Hate Crime and Public Order (Scotland) Act 2021 will go the way of the Offensive Behaviour at Football and Threatening Communications (Scotland) Act 2012. From a layman's reading of the Act, I can see several avenues for defence agents 1/2

Further to my previous posts, while I do not necessarily agree with Wings over Scotland’s published material, in its post below, the Dean of the Faculty of Advocates shows exactly how that coach and horses would be driven. wingsoverscotland.com/a-thou…
