โIt's time to wake up, the house is falling apart
Let's come out of our holes together, enough of hiding
Raise your hands, open your mouth
Against all of us thereโs no way they'll hold on for longโ

Shows how little the @NEUnion understands of what goes on in schools. There already IS a hierarchy of racism - antisemitism is a footnote in the antiracism strategy. Maybe if Jewish pupils were treated the same as other minorities we wouldnโt have this problem. Theyโre not โprivilegedโ theyโre discriminated.
The nastiest aspect of the reaction to the Bell Report about school antisemitism is the claim it *privileges* Jews. Indeed @NEUnion says it will create a "hierarchy of racism" if it's outside wider antiracism training.
Yet NEU's *own antiracism training* erases antisemitism. 1/7

If you need to see how far the left has fallen into a sewer of antisemitism, just look how they react towards a report written on the antisemitism Jewish schoolchildren experience in British schools.
An appalling disgrace that no other community would be expected to tolerate.
Since October 7th I have supported at least 15 families, & teachers, in the East Sussex area who have had issues with antisemitism in their childrenโs schools or workplace. Many local authorities have adopted sophisticated anti-racism strategies for their schools but antisemitism is always an afterthought, if it figures at all. The most minoritised children in our school systems are Jewish children, often only 1 or 2 in a yr group of 350+. Many now hide their identity, afraid to admit their religion or heritage. Anti-racism strategies & policies have shut out the Jewish community. It is time the govt ensured Jewish children are safe in our school system. I hope @BrightonHoveCC will be adopting these recommendations asap.
๐จ NEW: The Government has accepted all 27 recommendations from the report to end antisemitism in schools and colleges
1. Recognise antisemitism as a distinct form of hatred, not just general racism
2. Strengthen political impartiality guidance, including limits on teachers wearing pro-Palestine badges
3. Establish a national hotline for school leaders dealing with antisemitism
4. Improve teaching about contemporary antisemitism and modern Jewish life
5. Teach pupils to recognise and challenge antisemitic conspiracy theories
6. Include antisemitism explicitly in school safeguarding policies
7. Train teachers to recognise and tackle antisemitism
8. Work with the Home Office and the Prevent programme to help schools identify when antisemitism may be linked to radicalisation
9. Encourage schools to adopt the IHRA working definition of antisemitism
10. Improve procedures for reporting antisemitic incidents, including signposting
11. Ensure antisemitic bullying and complaints are investigated and acted on consistently
12. Make clear in staff conduct policies that antisemitism is unacceptable
13. Strengthen Holocaust education, including antisemitism's role in the Holocaust, and encourage schools to mark Holocaust Memorial Day
14. Create more opportunities for pupils to engage with Jewish communities, including visits to synagogues
15. Make sure Judaism and modern Jewish life are properly represented in religious education
16. Improve media literacy so pupils can also identify online antisemitism
17. Provide better resources for teaching the Israel-Palestine conflict fairly and sensitively
18. Ensure schools have clear policies for dealing with antisemitism involving external speakers
19. Ensure education unions have clear antisemitism policies
20. Establish a dedicated support service to help schools, colleges and councils deal with antisemitism
21. Use some of the Government's security funding to help Jewish schools and colleges undertake educational visits safely
22. Run a campaign to tackle antisemitic behaviour at transport hubs near Jewish schools and colleges
23. Provide Jewish school and college leaders with mentoring and more security advice
24. Strengthen accountability for schools that fail to deal properly with antisemitism
25. Enable Ofsted and the Independent Schools Inspectorate to assess how schools tackle antisemitism
26. Make local councils identify local patterns of antisemitism and help schools respond
27. Share effective practice and guidance between schools and colleges
Like many people, my heart has been hardened over the last three years. I have felt myself pulled further away from my roots, out of a need & fear for sheer survival. But to see & hear โShir Lashalomโ being sung, as a hope, made me cry. We, the Jewish people, and the State of Israel, are built on hope - Hatikva - for the future- and Shir Lashalom - a song on peace for us all. youtube.com/watch?v=Sz8O0OcAโฆ

I urge you to read the exceptional words of Maurice Cohen, President of the Jewish Representative Council of Ireland. This is not just about the blatant discrimination of @HerbertParkH but the insidious nature of contemporary antisemitism. A conference to address global anti-Jewish hate is given a realtime case study.
It is unbelievably sad that in Ireland an International conference on Antisemitism was marred by the very JewHate it is seeking to combat before it had even started.
Here is a verbatim report of what happened. It should be shared worldwide and
@HerbertParkH should be very very ashamed. @WorldJewishCong
I donโt like the hierarchy of hate. But the reality is that a Jewish person in Britain today is 9 times more likely to be a victim of hate than our Muslim neighbours. At some point I hope we will elect a Prime Minister who wants to tackle & challenge that hate at its source, on a societal level, instead of making antisemitism a police problem. It starts in schools, in religious institutions, in political parties. @andyburnham will you be brave enough to actually tackle antiJewish racism or do we have to continue to live behind ever higher fences, with more community protection policing as our norm?
Jewish people are nine times more likely than Muslims to be victims of hate crime, Home Office data show.
The figures revealed that Jewish people faced hate crimes at a rate of 116.5 offences per 10,000 people last year compared with 13.3 per 10,000 for Muslims๐

"Feminism has been hijacked, along with many other forms of legitimate campaigns, by the far-left wing.
They refuse to acknowledge the suffering and rape perpetrated by certain men. Look at Iran, Afghanistan, Sudan, and Nigeria; brutal rape is now used as a weapon of war. Every feminist, regardless of colour, creed, or political leaning, should call this out for what it is."

Tsachi and Maโayan.
My stomach is in knots.
The sky is bloated grey and the clouds contract like sobs.
We tell your story again and again. Grateful for the chance to keep you alive with one more sentence, one more word. To remind them of your life, and terrible death.
Dear world, Tsachi and Maโayan Idan lived. And loved. And were loved.
We will never let them forget.
It feels fitting that as I opened my eyes this morning, the day felt colder suddenly and the rain has slowly gotten heavier. On October 7th, 2023, the unimaginable became a social media post, seeping into our phones, horror beyond belief. The faces, the terror, the heartbreak, changed everything. We split into the believers and the deniers. The rules suddenly changed. โBelieve all womenโ but not those ones. Terror is bad, but that was justified. Hate & discrimination is not welcome here, but neither am I. Hamas broke down fences & doors on that hellish morning but western, liberal, leftist society continues the nightmare by building walls around my community, divisions in our society, gates around our places of worship. And this last week they tried to erase our history, our place in Britain and to tell us all self determination is encouraged, except ours. Not welcome in Britain without a purity pledge and not allowed our ancestral homeland. The ever-wandering Jew. What was started on October 7th by Hamas, continues now, here in our cities, on our streets, in political parties, universities, governments, everywhere we turn. And weโre scared. Iโm scared. Just as we were as we watched those first videos coming out of Nova. But it didnโt stop. It was only the beginning.
May their memories be as a blessing always.
Thank you to @BellaSankey and @bhlabour for taking such a strong and principled stand in support of the Jewish community. It is much appreciated particularly after the gaslighting from @BHGreens & their MP @sianberry in their meaningless statement
What a total disgrace this is. @BHGreens @sianberry have no understanding or concern for the local Jewish community. This is gaslighting at its worst. How dare they claim to reject antisemitism. They are encouraging it and putting my community in danger. @TheGreenParty is racist.
The Brighton & Hove Greens have finally made a statement about the bigoted Zionism is Racism motion. They claim to be against antisemitism but reject that antizionism is Jew-hate. Theyโve literally just watched that exact thing play out. Useless and dangerous. @BHGreens
This is excellent from my colleague @hearnimator. We @LabourAgainstAS have seen what antisemitism can do to a Party and we know how dangerous it can be if it goes unchecked.
โI watched antisemitism tear Labour apart - the Green Party is heading down a dangerous pathโ

Why are @metpoliceuk doing nothing to protect @nicolelampert from this threatening mob? Masked people yelling at alone Jewish woman? I hope @unitetheunion will be helping police identify these thugs.
Terrifying scenes at Unite and Co.-organised Cable St rally. Masked people pointing and shouting "Zionist" to incite a mob. And this was the steward, abusing @nicolelampert
Will @TheGreenParty now be compiling a list of โZionistโ synagogues? Seriously, how can anyone Jewish stay within the Racist Green Party? There is also a legal point to be examined as to whether this point in the Motion is in fact a hate crime and seeks to limit peopleโs freedom of religious expression.
This is vile.
โZionism and genocide are intertwined.โ
Fuck @TheGreenParty
Replying to @janeprinsley @EllieChowns
Holocaust survivor Stephen Kapos is helped to the stage by Mothin Ali, he says: โZionism is an extreme form of racism. 15 members of my family perished in the gas chambers. Israel is a Zionist apartheid regime... Zionism and genocide are intertwined.โ
Once again, Brighton, that city renowned for its liberal tolerant views, plays host to a political party that is hostile to its small Jewish community. @TheGreenParty is debating a motion that includes the suggestion that synagogue membership is racist. These people are recycling the hate that was left over from Corbynโs Labour Party. They are not welcome here. And those โJewsโ against Zionism should be ashamed of themselves.
