American sheep producers raise some of the highest-quality lamb and wool in the world. They deserve a FAIR SHOT at competing right here at home. 🐑🇺🇸
Since 2021, lamb meat imports have surged nearly 45%, now accounting for 70% of the US market.
American sheep producers should not be pushed out of their own market by foreign competition.
@USDA is FIGHTING for our sheep producers, defending American agriculture, and standing up for the family farms and ranches that keep rural America strong.

Shearing schools are getting rolling all across the U.S. and several have let us know their plans. Check out a shearing school training near you at our website!
Why do sheep need regular shearing?
Shearing prevents overheating, restricted movement, and infections. Additionally, shearing a sheep can reduce its fleece weight by up to 10 pounds, significantly enhancing mobility and comfort.
