Recently there have been a number of high profile football matches stopped due to medical emergencies in the crowd. Is it happening more often, is there a conspiracy. Time for a thread..... 🧵
The attempt by Aston Villa to weaponsize the legal system, and use SLAPP Lawsuits against football pundits for their opinions is a dark day.
Aston Villa. The Donald Trump of the premier league. MAVGA.
Villa threatening a law suit because a pundit said something mean (but accurate). This might be the most embarrasing thing I've ever seen in football.
The Porro situation was entirely predictable before the season started. The man has played nearly every minute for three seasons, including going all the way to the world cup final.
He was always going to big up a muscular injury early in the season. Needed a longer break.
I think you can tell a lot about a person based on whether they love Richarlison as a guy or not.
Regardless of his ability, just a nice guy.
Uh oh. The Villa and Newcastle fans are going to furious at Ipswich.
Aren't they?
Today’s deals mean that Manchester City are bottom of the net spend table for the current window per @valuball
Academies are not just to produce players for your first team. Very very few youth players make it from youth level to play for an elite team.
Many go on to get professional contracts at a high level e.g. Premier League/SPL/Championship
Man City 115 charges.
Chelsea winning everything of the back of corrupt oligarchs
Arsenal/Liverpool/United paying 100m for players on 250k a week.
But it's little old Tottenham buying a player from a North East club that seems to have triggered the entire West Midlands.
The internet told me he was finished though
🇰🇷🔑 No winger in Europe's Top 5 Leagues has more key passes per 90 (1.49) than Son Heung-Min this season
🏅 100th percentile for key passes
🏅 93rd percentile for xG+xA
🏅 84th percentile for non-penalty goals
🏅 90th percentile for assists

There is lot of talk about new owners, needing to invest more etc.
It's not quite that simple though. @SwissRamble assessed our accounts in April, noted we were at 60% wages/amortisation to Revenue. New Uefa rules allow 70%. That's only £60m wiggle room a year. 3 x £60m players
This will never not be funny.
Just a reminder. Juventus sold Bentancur and Kulusevski to Tottenham for an eventual €70m 😂
Bentancur still loses it 3 times a game to concede a dangerous transition
Kulusevski still hasn’t beaten his man for 2 years
God bless Paratici #TOTWOL
