Attacks on women in politics are unacceptable.
It is attacks such as these that will continue to discourage women from entering into politics and participating in politics equally and fully.

A High Court judge has ordered a mother to pay £27,100 of the father’s costs after sexual-abuse allegations against him were not proved. Non-proof alone does not equal falsehood or embellishment. In FAZ v MAZ [2026] EWFC 301, Mr Justice Poole went further: he found the mother was at times inconsistent, embellished and was dishonest in building her case, adopting a view “untethered from reality,” even though she genuinely believed the abuse and had not coached the child.
Costs orders in children cases remain rare and require unreasonable conduct. The judge reduced the fathers claim for £257k, because he'd hired an extensive team, and a more proportionate £108k was ringfenced in costs. The judge ordered the mother pay 25 %. The decision turns on the specific findings of embellishment and dishonest reporting, not merely on the allegations failing, which is an important distinction to make.

They called it the new Child Focused Courts. They said the pro-contact culture was finished.
Then the first appeal reached the Court of Appeal. The new President of the Family Division wrote it down: the new model has not changed the law.
A mother asked the court not to put her children into direct contact with an abusive father. The family court ordered contact anyway. She appealed to the highest court in the land. The Court of Appeal ruled that the contact order must be left in place. What they corrected was the barring order that treated her like him.
A new process. A Child Impact Report. Trauma-informed language. And at the end of it, he still gets the time, and you are still the one who has to make it look like a safe and healthy relationship - when it never will be.
They can change the name on the court list. If the destination is still contact, it is the same system. Business as usual.
