Enjoyed a great afternoon (although very cold) with some amazing speakers and emotional survivor testimonies (always bring a tissue).
The atmosphere was friendly, positive and relaxed.
There were no counter protesters, thankfully, making the day even more enjoyable.
Our new merchandise was launched which proved popular with the crowed.
Well done @BillyPag2023

PARENT HUB | Understand Online Grooming
🚩 Online grooming can start with a stranger in a game or on social media and move quickly. Someone may offer compliments, gifts, or game credits, then push for private chats and secrecy.
🚩 Watch for a child moving a conversation to a private app, asking for messages to be deleted, receiving gifts or money from someone they've only met online, sudden anxiety or withdrawal around their phone, and an online friend who asks them to keep the relationship secret.
No single sign proves grooming. Patterns matter most. Keep conversations open, check in about who your child talks to online, and act quickly on your concerns.
Awareness is protection.

Billy Howarth (@Billypaguk2025) is a survivor of childhood abuse who has spent nearly 20 years campaigning against child sexual exploitation and abuse.
As co-founder of Parents Against Grooming UK (PAG UK), he set up the organisation in response to the Rochdale grooming crisis. Today PAG UK runs a walk-in hub in Rochdale offering safe peer-to-peer support for male and female survivors, trauma-informed help, and advocacy when the system has failed families.
His work is rooted in lived experience: exposing institutional failures, supporting survivors directly, and fighting so no child or family faces grooming alone. He emphasises that every child deserves safety and every survivor deserves to be heard and believed.

🛡️ ShieldED | Parent Toolkit Update
Talking to Your Child About What They See Online
Children can come across upsetting, confusing or inappropriate content online, even when they aren't looking for it.
Sometimes, the most important thing a parent can do is make sure their child feels safe enough to talk about it.
🔹 Keep conversations open. Short, regular chats about what your child does online can be more effective than one big conversation.
🔹 Listen without judgement. If your child tells you they've seen something upsetting, stay calm. Your response can influence whether they feel comfortable coming to you again.
🔹 Reassure them. Make it clear that they won't be in trouble simply for telling you what happened.
🔹 Take their concerns seriously. Don't dismiss something as harmless just because it happened online or involved someone they know.
🔹 Know when to act. If the content or contact raises a safeguarding concern, help your child report it, block the account where appropriate and seek further support if needed.
💬 What would you do?
Your 12-year-old tells you that a video shared by friends made them feel uncomfortable. They seem upset but don't want to explain what happened.
Would you:
🔹 A. Insist they tell you everything immediately.
🔹 B. Tell them they're probably overreacting.
🔹 C. Stay calm, listen without pressure and reassure them that they can talk when they're ready.
The safest starting point is C. Give your child time, let them know you're there to help and take any safeguarding concerns seriously.
Why this matters
Children are more likely to speak up when they feel listened to, supported and not judged.
You don't need to have every answer. You need to help your child feel that they can come to you when something doesn't feel right.

This highlights a fundamental breakdown in safeguarding.
Knowing that a child is at risk across multiple services means little if agencies continue working in silos rather than sharing information and coordinating their response.
A robust, mandatory multi-agency approach, supported by a unified One Record system, is urgently needed to bridge these gaps, improve information sharing and enable earlier, decisive intervention.
I urge everyone to support this initiative by contacting their MP via the link provided and calling for stronger safeguarding standards to ensure vulnerable children are identified, protected and supported before it is too late.
A CHILD CAN BE KNOWN TO EVERY SERVICE.
AND STILL BE PROTECTED BY NONE.
That is the gap that should horrify us.
A school sees one warning. Police hold another piece. Health services have another concern.
But who sees the whole child—and who acts?
In this interview, social worker Deborah challenges agencies failing to work together. I’ve challenged safeguarding failures from outside the system. Here is someone with experience inside it raising the same concern.
So why are we still asking the same question?
After a child dies, we ask who knew what.
We need those answers while that child can still be saved.
Children cannot survive on the promise that “lessons will be learned”. They need adults to share concerns, take responsibility and act.
Speak For Them campaigns in memory of Preston Davey. His life mattered. Protecting the next child must matter enough to change what happens.
💙 Don’t let your anger end at this post.
Write to your MP. Demand stronger safeguarding and connected information through One Record.

Protection starts with creating places where children feel safe, heard and able to speak.
It isn't about frightening them. It's about knowledge, confidence and trust.

And so the movement begins. 🇬🇧
PAG UK National is officially here, built with a clear purpose:
Supporting survivors. Protecting children. Empowering families.
Our mission is to create a trusted, dedicated space where safeguarding awareness, survivor support, practical family resources, education, and grassroots community action come together under one national banner.
Every child deserves protection, and every family and survivor deserves to have their voice heard and supported.
Big things are coming.
We are building a unified network across the entire nation. Dedicated regional pages will roll out across North England, the Midlands, South England, Scotland, and Wales bringing tailored local resources, community updates, and direct support closer to where you are.
This is more than just an account. It is a national movement to ensure that knowledge, safety, and community action stay at the absolute heart of the conversation.
Together, we are stronger.
Stay tuned, follow along, and join us as we grow.

Local sources have confirmed that asylum seekers are being bussed into MOD Ashchurch, in the middle of the night, for the last few weeks.
This is only around a 20minute drive from Elmley Castle, Worcestershire; where an 11 year old girl was found deceased in a local cricket ground.
There is currently no evidence that these are connected, so please proceed with caution.
