This clip has gone viral. I hope the top leader of every major economy has a dialogue with (King) Jensen Huang! (I am not saying that I agree with all his pushes for GPUs!) It will be fun to watch (And we can allow leaders to prepare)....

what a moving story! Sometimes, I think many steert vendors sell their things too cheaply (well, perhaps due to competition)...

This is just insane! Man
Song Xingyu, a self-taught Gen Z vlogger from Badong in China's Hubei province who posts as Shenqi Ayu, has built a rideable hoverboard inspired by the Green Goblin's glider in Spider-Man and flown it across the Yangtze River. After his first five-turbojet prototype caught fire, he rebuilt it around ten brushless electric units with more than 30 kg of thrust each, and trained on it with an AI posture coach made from two phones.

"You can't regulate anything if the technology doesn't even exist." Jensen Huang to Merz......

Most US foreign policy elites seem to never self-reflect, why other countries (not just China and Russia) want a reformed order or orders....

Just had an argument at the high speed rail station. We had been waiting in line for the train, then as the line started moving a man tried to sneak in in front of me. I said, in Mandarin, no pushing in line. Then he mirrored my tone and replied: "You have mental issues." I said maybe I do, and maybe it would be good if others did as well because it means I have the guts to stop people being rude and pushing in. Then I said, in a patronising tone, "get to the back of the line and don't do it again." He went nuts, and started screaming “你脑子有问题!” so I raised voice back and said “你开心就好” and tried to ignore him but he kept going. He asked me to step out of the line and confront him, so I asked “你以为我怕你吗?!” and all the could say was “你脑子有问题!” Honestly, I really wish more Chinese people would risk a bit of tension and tell rude idiots who push in (and other things) that's it's not okay. Only then will it end. Having said that, it tends to be mainly older folks who do this kind of thing, so maybe we just wait until nature takes its course. 😁 Anyways, funny ending. I got on the train and was thinking 'I hope he's not on my carriage.' Then guess who walks in? He looks in my direction and says "What a coincidence," but then I realized he recognized someone behind me. Turns out they're both going to Shanghai for the same meeting. So now I can rest assured he won't want to be starting anymore drama in front of his colleague. 😎

My latest: The Iran Question Is All About China Why Operation Epic Fury Is the Opening Act of the Indo-Pacific Century The Iran question was never about Iran. Remove the Islamic Republic from the equation and China loses its pawns for a Taiwan contingency. Leave it in place and the Middle East remains what Beijing designed it to be: a second front that Washington can never afford to leave and can never afford to stay in. Trump's strikes are the first move by an American president who appears to understand that the road to the Pacific runs through Tehran. zinebriboua.com/p/the-iran-q…

The Europeans: Na, back to the old days.....
This is a *very* interesting exchange that suggests beyond the theatrics, a restoration of the transatlantic relationship to the status quo ante Trump is not in the cards, whoever wins the White House in 2028.

The reason I asked this question is that I know, if the dialogue/exchange has been real, it will most likley (if not inevitably) degenerate into mutual disrespect and even animosity. These issues are just too emotional/complex for conducting through X....
There seems to be a kind of exchange/debate/dialogue between Brazilians and Chinese (guess only from mainland) on X. Is this real?

Yes!
THE SPIRIT OF 1911 On this day in 1911, the spirit of revolution that has been gathering amongst the Chinese people sparked off in Wuchang. Knowing that the Qing dynasty authorities got a hold of a list of all their names, the mutineers decided to move first ahead of the crackdown. Provinces fell like dominoes, and within a few short months, the dynastic China that lasted for three millenia was no more. What replaced the Qing dynasty was the Republic of China, led by the idealistic and charismatic Dr. Sun Yat-sen as it's first provisional president. But Sun's weapon was the pen, not the sword, and he held on for only 45 days before abdicating to the warlord Yuan Shikai. Years of exile followed. Yuan eventually fell, but Sun's republic would battle against warlordism for the rest of his life. Under Sun worked two men whose divergent visions would eventually tear China apart in the Chinese civil war -- Mao Tse-tung was then the KMT's propaganda chief, while Chiang Kai-shek was the commandant of Sun's Whompoa military academy. It was Sun's special talent that his vision of China was so expansive it could hold so many ideological strange bedfellows. But with his death in 1925, the comrades he exhorted to continue his revolution quickly began fighting each other. Both Chiang's KMT and Mao's CCP lay claim to Sun's legacy, and it is genuinly hard to tell which side he would have favored. Ultimately in Taiwan, the last bastion of Republic of China control, he is known as the Father of the Nation. Meanwhile, on the mainland, he is respected as the Forerunner of the Revolution. We still use his galaxy-brained constitution with five branches of government here in Republic of China (Taiwan). But it's arguably on the mainland that Sun's vision of a strong and highly developed China came to life, literally, as many of the dams and bridges Sun envisaged has since been built. You'll find very little mention of this history on this day in Taiwan as everyone ahistorically rebrands Double Ten as "Taiwan's national day". To listen to President Lai Ching-te, you'd think the Wuchang uprising took place in Taiwan. Over the years, the legacy of Dr. Sun and his successor Generalissimo Chiang has been reduced to an asterisk. The fondest hope of the ruling DPP is an independent Taiwan that has nothing to do with China whatsoever. But there has never been a country called "Taiwan." It was always China. torn in two by the civil war. And for China, Taiwan's separation from the mainland is the last bit of hurt from the Century of humiliation that is still waiting to be healed. Between the 1.4 billion mainland Chinese who would like to end the Republic of China and the separatists of Taiwan who daily subverts it and denies it even as they waves its flag and uses its name, I'd like just for today to remember the True Blues: the dwindling faithful who still believe in Dr. Sun's vision, as carried on by Chiang and then his son. There was a time when Taiwanese, when traveling abroad, would proudly proclaim "I am from Free China."
