My coverage of the Dallas Stars is going to look a bit different this year. I’ll be diving into emerging storylines all season rather than game-by-game analysis. Today’s topic: the unexpected combination emerging as one of Dallas’s top lines.

Rooting for Remi.
He is 25-years old and waiting for his chance in the big league.
10/10 asset management by the Devils.
I like GMs who are not afraid of thinking/doing stuff differently.
We’ll see what happens in DC.

Arttu Hyry scores an empty net goal with 0.3 seconds left in regulation. That's his 4th goal of the season.
3-1 Stars
Columbus is just stack shifts against the Stars late in the third. This has been a less than ideal game for Dallas since the end of the 1st period.
I don’t know if the cap math necessarily works here (there will be teams willing to shell out for Kucherov), but if Kucherov is only looking to join teams that can win, Dallas would certainly be a prime destination.
Would he leave money on the table?
Dallas could this offseason genuinly could wait it out for Kucherov to enter free-agency and have both Robertson and Kucherov.
That is unless Kucherov wants a real extension in place, but I'm not too sure many teams are here and ready to give 20m+ for a 34 year old.

Why did they use normal white on a vintage white jersey 💀
First look at the Toronto Maple Leafs Hometown Remix jersey, featuring a unique leaf vein pattern in the logo and numbers. Thoughts?

Holy shit!
Nikita Kucherov has informed the Lightning organization that he will not be re-signing and would like to be traded, multiple sources have told @FriedgeHNIC. sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/sou…

Boom! Love this. Trey Taylor is a very different player than Capobianco, but also very capable. Aggressive but willing to read the play first. Should be fun.

Kyle Capobianco will be out “a significant amount of time” per Glen Gulutzan.
Looks like Trey Taylor will be up with the NHL club for a while

DET coach Todd McLellan just told reporters Dylan Larkin will not play tonight and GM Shawn Horcoff will address the situation
Watching Stars vs Devils back over the course of the day.
Not sure the thinking on the challenge on goal one. DeSmith invited contact and it was at the top of the crease if not outside the paint. Weird choice from the otherwise elite video coaches.
While I do find it hilariously little brother of them to just copy paste our colors, I must admit that the concept of these jerseys is sick.
Just further proof that things in Minnesota improve when you Dallas-ify them.
Hit the mark: Florida, Minnesota, Anaheim, Boston, Toronto
Scored the layup: Buffalo, Edmonton, San Jose
Weird but good: Chicago, Montreal, Pittsburgh
Respect for Trying: Colorado, Ottawa
Fine: Carolina, NYR, NYI, Washington
How did we get here?: Dallas, Detroit, LA
In case you’re more of a squinting person than a scrolling person…
We now have TWENTY of the upcoming Hometown Remix jerseys, nearly 2/3rds of the league. Who’s in the lead for your favorite?
