Since 2017, Russia's only aircraft carrier, Admiral Kuznetsov has been out of service.
There are multiple reports about refitting and repair work taking place on this carrier, but it is now almost a decade and there are still no updates regarding its return to service.
Over the last couple of days, multiple reports emerged which suggests that it may be decommissioned or that Russian authorities are considering decommissioning it. However, there is no official confirmation from Russian authorities as of now.
What will be the future of the Russian Navy if it is no longer going to operate an aircraft carrier, especially since there is no immediate replacement for the Admiral Kuznetsov?
