How many LSU fans does it take to screw in a lightbulb at Tiger stadium?
We’ll never know, they left too soon

Rick Best and I were friends in high school. R.I.P. Ricky
On June 7, 2017, in a Portland courtroom, a man in handcuffs and a white jumpsuit shouted that he was "not guilty of anything but defending myself against violent aggression by Micah Fletcher!"
Micah Fletcher was sitting in the same room. A knife had missed killing him by a few millimeters.
Twelve days earlier, on May 26, 2017, around 4:30 p.m., Jeremy Christian was on a MAX train in Portland yelling at two teenage girls. One was a 17-year-old Muslim in a hijab. The other was her 16-year-old friend, who is Black. He told them to go back to Saudi Arabia.
Three men stepped in. Christian pulled a knife.
Ricky John Best, 53, an Army veteran of more than 20 years and a father of four, died on the train. Taliesin Namkai-Meche, 23, who had just graduated from college, died in the hospital. His last words were: "Tell everyone on this train I love them." Fletcher, 21, was stabbed in the neck and survived.
At his first court appearance, Christian screamed: "You call it terrorism, I call it patriotism." The second time, he went after the survivor.
In the video below, Christian pleads not guilty to all 15 charges. It lasts seconds. He gets his line out, and deputies lead him away.
In February 2020 a jury convicted him on every count. At sentencing he stood up, pulled off his mask and screamed at a woman he had attacked on a train the night before the stabbings: "I should've killed you." Deputies took him out of the room. He told the court he would not accept any guilt.
Fletcher spoke too. He said he spent nine months dependent on alcohol after the attack. Then he looked at Christian and said: "As far as you and me, we're good."
Christian got two consecutive life sentences without parole. In 2024 an appeals court upheld everything.
Two strangers died for two girls they didn't know. The man who killed them called it self-defense.
Did Micah Fletcher forgive the man who tried to kill him, or just refuse to let him take up one more day of his life?

🚨 LSU doesn't NEED Whit Weeks to beat Alabama?! 🐯
@MattMoscona says Bama's offensive line is a HUGE weakness. Why risk Weeks against the Tide? 👀🔥
