A stunning defeat for a Trump-aligned right-wing leader in Europe. Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, whose government cultivated close ties with Donald Trump and his family, has conceded defeat to a student-led opposition movement in a historic parliamentary election. Trump's son Donald Trump Jr. personally met with Vučić, while Jared Kushner pursued a major luxury real estate project with his government. Now, after nearly two years of massive student-led protests against corruption and authoritarianism, Vučić's ruling party has been defeated at the ballot box. The student-backed movement is projected to win a parliamentary majority, ending more than a decade of dominance by Vučić's party.

What’s actually going on in Ukraine is that there is a massive incentive difference between the elites and the people. The former have grown very rich off the hundreds of billions flowing to Ukraine, while the latter’s children are conscripted to die in trenches.
