This puzzle came from the Ken Ken site, my partner a TfM primary specialist spotted the pattern straight away, can we be over whelmed by too much procedural knowledge?
A challenge for you from NW1 Lead @SimonNW1maths for World Maths Day. Can you find the next 3 terms in this sequence? 1 8 11 69 88 96 101 111 181…… ... #WorldMathsDay #maths

Looking forward to giving my talk on how to use variation theory for questioning in the classroom to MMU colleagues.
I love using the difference of two squares it is the median/mean at its best. I also want to point out that Mick and Alex are running an excellent A level pedagogy group contact NW1 to get involved.
Others have already pointed out that 2021 is the product of consecutive primes (43 x 47). Interesting to note that it is also the difference of two squares (45^2 - 2^2). Perhaps the more obvious way of calculating 43 x 47? i.e. (45 - 2)(45 + 2)
