Not that simple. The financial incentive to employ women is how equalitarianism gets started, but once started, it can sustain itself through pure political power. If I can fire all my female Kanban Den Mothers because a single GPU can do their job, but I need to keep all my male kernel programmers because the cluster of 64 DGX Spark machines still needs their guiding central intelligence to do kernel programming, I can be sued under the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and under current legal practice, the mere fact that employ no women is taken by courts as ipso facto proof that I have hatched an evil plot to employ no women. And therefore the fact that no women want to be kernel programmers is now a me problem, regardless of whether the court understands what a kernel is, or even what programming is. I then have to seek out female kernel programmers, and hire them over more qualified males, because my level responsibility isn't "good intentions" or a "best effort", it is maintaining the ratio that people who know nothing about programming think I should have. And when I fail to find them, I will resort, must resort, to hiring LARPers, who must be carried by the team, because their real job is to be a magic talisman that wards off a hostile state.
