Is it time to say that Pete Golding is a better in game defensive adjuster than Kane Wommack is? (As painful as it is to say…)

I’ve been very critical of Bama’s staff, but one area of props that is due is them talking Rico Scott out of the portal. That potentially saved our season today.

Shoutout to Greg Byrne for giving Deboer a contract extension only for us to get this performance. Unacceptable.

I don't know what deBoer has to do to re-energize this bunch, but he needs to do it ASAP for short and long term prurposes...

I should’ve done this with Grubb instead of Deboer this week…. Would’ve been appropriate 😂

Cotton nailed the emotion behind why us Bama fans care so much. Roll Tide!
Why do Alabama fans invest so much emotionally into a football team? Well - in a lot of cases, it’s just part of who we are, and we’re proud of that. I was personally hesitant about sharing this, but I think it’s important for our staff in Tuscaloosa to know that for a large portion of our fanbase, Alabama Football means so much more than just watching games on Saturday. There’s a proud investment from each of us that has created bonds, memories, lore, and is deeply ingrained in what and who we are. It’s not just passion - it’s life in some instances. My story personally is mine, but I’d be willing to bet there are plenty others out there that have similar versions. Alabama Football is a backdrop to so many of life’s most important lessons and moments. I remember “Gravedigger.” I was on the phone with my mom who was dying from cancer. It was her last football season. Her broadcast was about 20 seconds ahead of mine for some reason, and I remember that being the last time I heard her yell and cheer. I knew instantly that something amazing had happened. She passed a few weeks later. 2nd and 26. My best friend, an Army buddy that I went to war with, sat in my living room and we woke up my kids in a loud, cheerful embrace when Tua hit Smitty to walk it off. Down here - our dogs are named Bear and Saban down here. There are kids named Crimson. This is what this staff took on. It’s more than a game to us, often for many, it’s the one season all year they look forward. Dare I say, for some, it’s the one thing keeping them going week end and week out. That A means something and Roll Tide means everything. I doubt the staff will ever see or hear this, but I hope they understand that WE LOVE THIS TEAM and college football is WHO WE ARE down here.

We turn the page - Texas AM visits Alabama as the Number 97 total offense in the country (Bama is 51), averaging around 356.9 YPG. They’re also tied for 70th in the country in scoring offense (29.4 PPG). Alabama, although putting up around 49.6 the first five weeks of the season has hit a wall and is only scoring 13.5 PPG its last two outings. With the early season offensive success- they still sit at 12 in scoring offense. Alabama has dropped sharply in total defense, allowing 337,9 YPG, good for 52 in the country. Texas AM is 28th in the country, allowing 305 YPG. For perspective - Georgia and Tennessee are 13 and 14 respectively, outside of those two this will be the best statistical defense (controlled for talent level, excluding ECU) that Alabama will have faced. Texas AM will also be the third best scoring defense Alabama will face this season, allowing around 17.14 PPG (27 nationally). Alabama still holds strong around the 51 mark, letting up slightly over 21 PPG. Outside of Auburn, Alabama is the worst team in the SEC in sacks allowed, giving up around three a game. Texas AM averages about 1.8 a game, heavily due to Reed’s maneuverability. Sticking to sacks - Alabama currently sits right up there with South Carolina and Auburn, collecting about 2.57 a game. Texas AM is one of the worst in the country, averaging less than 1 sack per game. This is where Keelon can shine. AM also sits near the bottom on turnover margin while Alabama has been decent all year in taking the ball away. Third Down Conversions: Alabama converts around 43% Texas AM converts around 42% Red Zone Defense: Alabama is 134 nationally in RZ D, allowing a 96% rate. Of the 23 attempts from opponents, 7, rushing, 7 passing, and 8 FGs. AM is 15 nationally in RZ D, allowing a 71% rate. Of the 14 attempts from opponents, 6 rushing, 2, 2 passing, and 2 FGs. Red Zone Offense: Alabama is 3 in the country at 97% in the red zone. Of their 29 possessions: 18 rushing TDs, 6 passing, 4 FGs. AM is tied for 103 at 81%. Of their 32 red zone possessions: 13 rushing, 7 passing,5 FGs.

Good cause we are.
Ryan Grubb: "If I was a fan or supporter, I'd be pissed off, too."

Love that no questions were asked of Grubb about the lack of the run game. Great journalisming guys

Life truly sucks when your football program is dog shit. Idk how 90% of the country has done this for years. This is miserable
