If you enter an amount that exceeds the spendable BCH amount (spendable amount removes estimated transaction fee and SLP amounts) The status at the bottom will update and show the amount that is locked in SLP tokens.

Two things: 1) When you click on the max BCH button with no tokens selected here is a description of what the values mean:
