My Easter 2020 Challenge
Your Invitation
Dearly Beloved,
Between 2012 and 2016, I had the opportunity to serve at an American School in Burundi and Namilyango College, one of the Best Secondary Schools in Uganda.
āGeorge could think about community-wide interventions while still remembering the needs of one child. To him, development was not merely an idea to be discussed in an office; it was something that had to touch real lives.ā Mark Cherop.

Good morning,
If you left home to build home, don't compare yourself with those who left home already build!

This is a question Ugandans have asked for decades. In safe houses, victims of torture will say it was asked of them by the people with guns. Now itās being asked more quietly, by a generation that canāt remember a time before the current president.
@kenyangenz please bear with fellow Ugandan gen-zs
Happy New Year to @flyethiopian as the country welcomes 2019

Actually I heard that George Desmond Kamurasi rejected becoming King of Tooro. I canāt really blame him.
They need to put that throne on someone who actually wants it and is willing to live in this country.
The man already got out of this mess of a country and is living a proper life in the UK. Why would he give that up to come and sit on a throne here? Letās be honest. Even as a king in this country, that title cannot save you from the chaos, the bad governance, and the breakdown of basic services.
Look at the one we just laid to rest. When he got sick, he had to run to a foreign country, and he died there. Healthcare in Uganda is not adequate enough to treat even a king. The Kabaka of Buganda when he was seriously sick in this same country he was flown abroad. So if even kings have to go abroad when it gets critical, what exactly is the throne protecting you from?
And itās not only kings. Most people who have the capacity take themselves and their families out. We even had an MP, Judith, elected, then she left and never came back, and she was still being counted as a sitting member. So whatever station you occupy here, whatever power you think you have, it cannot save you when it comes to a serious health condition. You still have to go abroad.
Basic infrastructure and the services that are supposed to make everyday life easier are in a bad state. So if Desmond rejected coming back as king, I understand him completely. He doesnāt want to give up his lifestyle in the UK for a throne that cannot even guarantee him decent treatment at home.
