one year since El Fasher fell to the uae backed RSF militia after a brutal siege of starvation, mass kill*ngs, seXXXual violence, and forced displacement. damn the uae and everyone who funded and armed this militia. a year later, we remember every victim. El Fasher will never be forgotten.

This is an outrageous scandal.
Lana Nusseibeh should be in the list of individuals investigated by the entities like the UN itself over their complicity in genocide in Sudan. The mere act of nominating her to the post of Secretary General is a massive joke.
Nusseibeh was the UAE’s point person on Sudan, according to Justin Lynch, managing director of the Conflict Insights Group research organization. “Throughout this war, she assured other governments that the UAE was not backing the RSF, even as Washington and other capitals knew internally that it was,” he told the AP.
The U.N. secretary-general’s role is to protect civilians from horrors like el-Fasher, Lynch said. “Handing the job over to the diplomat who ran cover for it would be an insult to the survivors.”
