#BBCCricket Pretty sure if we promoted Jimmy to bat at 5 and told Broad he was no. 11 we'd get a guaranteed 250 in about 50 balls from him.

This is a lovely little heal stomper of a tune, noice - open.spotify.com/track/3xtiX…

It's toasty enough right now that the little lumbar support cushion thing on my chair might be welded to the small of my back by now.

#BBCCricket Lots of worry about over aggression yesterday but one thing we know is that BM will always go for a win if it's there. Only chance of that means getting the runs knocked of as quickly as possible to keep time in the game. Way more fun than glorified batting practice.

Good job I checked the live text before tweeting about Lees getting a score eh? Still think we should maybe give him more than 3 innings before deciding if he's able to go up a gear or not. #BBCCricket

#bbccricket Wondering if Malan had half an eye on getting a rugby tackle there while going for the run? Just enough to cost him a few feet.

#bbccricket I like that Hameed bats with a Grey Nics. Grew up watching Atherton and then that golden Strauss, Cook period. There's something I trust about seeing that logo at the top of the order. Anyone else formed those kinds of connections?

#bbccricket Has Chris L had an afternoon of finding wasps have landed in their cider or has Virat sorted a suedonym to do some tweeting during the drinks break?

Can we go one better?...Glancing queen, our openers average 17, oh nooooo. #bbcccricket

Apron selfie....hi! x

Finally had a few tomatoes ripen up!!! 😁😁😁

Time to get sanding.

I got away from all the oak in my stockpile for a bit this week and made a few walnut spoons.

Pine is so contrasting to carve. The handle carves beautifully, almost wax like smoothness. The bowl is a flippin' nightmare and either wants to be all fluffy or is brutally hard at the sections heavy with but resin.

Here's a couple from earlier in the week that I didn't ruin. Oak and sapele respectively. When I but my box of offcuts, both end up left until the end bester they are flippin' hard work 😅 Sapele in particular though looks stunning once polished.

Oops 😬 That break is clean enough to have me put this down to the sycamore being a little rotten. It's certainly been outside for a long time and seen plenty of damp but dried out now and apparently a touch brittle. The rest may simply be saved for firewood now.
