Last week, we joined fellows from the Coast Region Budget Hub Network to review County Budget Estimates and their alignment with the County Fiscal Strategy Paper (CFSP).
We examined program priorities, budget ceilings, and the realism of targets.

Key gaps emerged: shallow narrative information, no clear documentation of past challenges or how they are addressed, and in the Education Department, a mission without clear goals.
These gaps limit accountability and effective tracking of progress.
