Gaming Media doing damage control/cope for Sony failures🚀 Phase 1: Blame Kojima for Sony’s failure, even though Sony has wasted billions on live service that all ended up being a colossal failure Phase 2: Blame XBOX for funding Kojima because they’ve laid off others before him The jokes write themselves at this point😅 The fact of the matter is Kojima’s presence in any project is a WIN in and of itself because he brings status, honors and prestige, and Sony’s egomaniac leadership couldn’t see anything but profits and are taking out their failure, waste of money on live service and rabid greed onto their studios and Kojima, along with players by ending physical media. Microsoft realized the huge value in Kojima and his games so they decided to fund not just one, but two of his creative visions. There’s NO scenario where Sony are the good guys in this, because they’ve been overspending since 2016, their studios having unsustainably long development cycles, while still offering more of the same cookie-cutter experiences, and then pushed hard into live service which failed miserably.
