Mariners at 3?!?
On paper, it makes sense. Lots of talent and potential all over this roster, and an addition of two highly regarded coaches.
Just need to see it to believe it, but it doesn’t seem like the hype is dead after last season

The Mariners are finalizing the hire of Tanner Swanson to be the bench coach, per multiple sources.
Tanner has been with the Yankees since 2020 but is a WA native!
Welcome to Seattle, coach!

This is a really good point actually….
It’s been his job the last 3 years to oversee and make sure guys can produce in the big leagues, and was directly involved in the build up to the explosion of PCA in the league last year.
Every day, I see another reason to be excited
David Lennon of @NewsdaySports predicted the top 20 Free Agent landing spots, and has 3B Teruaki Sato going to the Mariners.
That would be HUGE to find our future 3B in him!

Who is your DREAM offseason acquisition(s) for the Mariners? (Trade or Free Agency)
Mine: Elly De La Cruz or Junior Caminero
Elly: would give us a sure fire star SS, move Colt to 3B
Junior: a rising superstar RHH that fixes our 3B problems

I mean I get it, but only if we move off of multiple starters, which I don’t see us doing…
I think it’s much more likely we move one, and then Sloan comes up and we stick at 5
@MattSnyderCBS thinks SP Freddy Peralta could find his way to Seattle:
“We know that Jerry Dipoto doesn't like to sit still and after the Mariners came within one win of their first World Series, they were bad in 2026.
I could see trades of starters Logan Gilbertand/or George Kirby that create the need for a rotation replacement in free agency, and Peralta would surely love pitching in that ballpark.”
Two things I want to note:
1. Doesn’t seem to be too big on all the advanced analytics and cares more about simple form and technique
2. His favorite thing in the world happens to be the same position as our star with the biggest potential
I like him more
Now that it is officially official, how do you feel about the Kanzler hire?
