During hurricane season in Houston my mama used to force us to get fresh blowouts and she’d do her eyelashes waiting on the hurricane because she knew the news was being racist making black ppl look bad during Katrina

.@MichaelSteele unloads on Republicans suddenly second-guessing Trump after the midterm wipeout, warning they can’t spend a decade enabling him and then pretend they had nothing to do with it:
“Shut the fuck up; I don’t want to hear that shit from you.”

I sarw Dave Chappelle tonight at Madison Square Garden. I've seen Dave many times. Tonight was not one of his best shows.
The show started at 730pm. Dave did not come out until 10pm. He had a lot of people on before him:
1. DJ Cypha Sounds opened and played music and MC'd for about an hour.
2. Marshall Brandon was the first comic and he was probably the best comedian tonight.
3. Marcelo Hernandez came on next. He was ok.
4. DJ Cypha Sounds took the stage and did a stand up set and was surprisingly good.
5. Talib Kwali and Mos Def performed some old Black Star songs for about a half hour.
6. Busta Rhymes came out and performed a few songs.
7. Cypha Sounds did a 2md standup set.
8. Boxing ring announcer legend Michael Buffer came out and introduced Dave.
9. Dave Chappelle closed the show. He did an hour. Including alot of the jokes I heard already at the September 11t benefit he did. He opened with about 10 minutes on the midterms. Talked about Chris Rock and Will Smith, talked about Trump allegedly sucking Bill Clinton's dick. This was funnier the first time I heard it in September.
Overall his set was ok.
I've seen Dave many times and this was not his best performance.
The show overall was good, but I paid to see Dave. Not all those other people.
Wonder if @MarkHalperin will make a joke about Talarico going to NYC so soon after the election to be "represented by CAA or Ari" or is that reserved for non-white senators hmmmmmmmmmmmmm
omg James Talarico just made a surprise appearance on SNL, and the audience went WILD
"Hi, America! I'm James Talarico, the guy who's been texting you every day asking for $5. But I think, Mr. President, if we can work together we can make life better for everyday Americans. It's clear people want something new. They want something different. I'm talking, of course, about SNL's cold opens. How many of these Trump freezes are they gonna do?!"

As a Long Island native (from a deep red part) this map fascinates me. LI is the Deep South broken up by occasional Black (deep blue Hempstead/Freeport), Latino (eg blue Bay Shore), and Jewish (blue Syosset, Plainview) areas, plus the liberal mecca of the Hamptons/North Fork.
My wife was telling me that both sides of her mostly Irish family have ancestry in Alsace-Lorraine, so I immediately thought or "Revanchism" and of this painting. I could remember so many things about this painting, but not that there is not a single girl in the class.
