Method Man On Why He turned down a feature on Drake's track "Wu-Tang Forever," Explaining that the song simply didn't resonate with his Personal Taste or His vision of the Wu-Tang sound, regardless of how Big the artist was

This the “relatable” era that’s really a cover for “I’m not gonna support anything I can’t replicate because it makes me feel inferior” era of music. They call talented & skilled people try hards who do too much as a coping mechanism for their limitations.
One thing I always think about…
If we had a young kid with the same about of singing and dancing talent as MJ, the era we are in wouldn’t cultivate them to become a star. The sound of music wouldn’t fit them, and they would have to make trendy, thin, TikTok music that couldn’t compare to “I want you back” or “Who’s lovin you.” At most, they would gain a moderate YouTube following just doing covers of older songs.
