among a few other quality of life improvements: - QuickBooks Desktop import without dead ends: a file with problems is no longer refused whole. You get a list with a box for each problem: - a transaction that doesn't balance can post, with the difference on 3950 Import Differences; - an account missing from the chart is created with a type you pick; - a file that looks cut off imports what's there; - transactions in a closed period are left out, and the list says so. - Corrected files: a later, complete file can replace a transaction that came in incomplete. Uploading the same file twice never posts anything twice. - Imported entries read like register entries: the QuickBooks name shows as the payee, the number in Ref #, and QuickBooks' own type in the Type column ("Check (imported)"). Entries already imported are converted on upgrade, and no amount changes. - Check numbers and duplicates: imported checks no longer set the next check number. Possible Duplicates no longer pairs imported entries with each other. - The register keeps your place: - the entry row shows even with a date filter set; - saving, editing or voiding keeps your dates and scroll position; - your start date is remembered for each account; - a typed date applies when you press Enter. - Reads never change your books: opening a list or a report no longer quietly saves default rows. - Links and tokens: payment and portal links are made with a button, never just by viewing them. API tokens made as administrator before 2.29 are refused, with a message saying what to do. This part is Keith's work. - Journal Void: voiding a document's own posting (an invoice's, a bill's, a payment's) is refused, with a message naming the document to void instead. - Smaller fixes: - Import file offers the bank feed on the right account; - a sign-in that can't see an employee's portal link is told who can; - the import list's keyboard focus ring now shows on the Mac.
