Milestone for @SmartFinancial. We are today celebrating @tamsincaine joining us on 2nd January 2015. In a unconventional recruitment process Tam was at one of our office parties before having her first interview (and helped clear up afterwards) That interview basically consisted of me asking when she was starting and how much she wanted to be paid We now look forward to another exciting 10 years together as we grow and expand @SmartFinancial @smartdivorcefp and @SmartFPint

New British ISA. Pleased that he has made it an ‘extra’ rather than force people to allocate more of their current ISA to Uk equities. For those that don’t know, Uk market is approx 3% of the global market so should only form a small part of your portfolio.

I’ve used them for 20 years and sadly they are no longer worth the price they charge clients. @SecclTech @FundmentHQ and others are only at the beginning, they will cannibalise the old dinosaur in the next few years.

Thanks Michael, we have seen horrific advice, outrageous multi layered charge and not even a hint of lifestyle financial planning. We aren’t making a big dent in that market yet but we are at least able to look after clients of fellow financial planners when they no longer can.

It is also easy to see why I would be feeling much better today 😀 which is a good job as not only is it the day the @CISI level 7 case studies are issued but it’s also the last meeting for the new MBA in goals based financial planning that I am supporting glos.ac.uk/content/groundbre…
