After visiting all 12 Disney Parks around the World including multiple trips out to Tokyo, Hong Kong, Shanghai & Paris in the last several years, Here’s our updated ranking for 2024: ✈️ 🏰🌋✨🇯🇵🇭🇰🇨🇳🇫🇷🇺🇸 – at West Covina, CA
We visited the Peak Ruyi Cableway Scenic Area in Yangshuo, where we took a cable car to the mountaintop for spectacular views of the Karst mountains!
At the top, there are 2 glass walkways, including one along the side of a mountain plus a long rope bridge. Admission $33 🏔️
China is obsessed with glass walkways! You will find many glass attractions all over the country.
This glass skywalk in Yangshuo is built right into the side of a mountain high above the ground, and it’s long too. 🫣
One of our favorite foods in China is “Roujiamo” aka Chinese hamburger. It’s chopped braised pork belly and green peppers stuffed inside a crispy, flaky bun. The meat is super tender. And it’s about $1.50 from a street vendor.
Here’s how they make ours: 🤤 🍔
Spent the day exploring Guilin, China 🏔️
We checked out Fubo Hill Lookout for $3. Just a 10 minute hike to the top with awesome views of the city & mountains.
-Elephant Trunk Hill an elephant-shaped rock formation.
-Sun and Moon Pagodas. 2 twin pagodas in the lake.
McDonald’s is NOT cheap in China if you buy à la carte. A double cheeseburger alone is about $3.45!
So make sure to look under promotion on a kiosk where you can get a double cheeseburger & a coke float for only $2.23. Now that’s a much better price! 🍔 🥤
When booking hotels in China with family, make sure you don’t get a room with see through glass. We have stayed at quite a few hotels where you can see right through it. 😅
This one has a cool feature where you can switch the glass between see through and frosted for privacy.
Saw this awesome high tech binocular viewer in Guilin, China. The picture is so HD, and the zoom is like 100x! Universal Studios Hollywood & observation decks need to upgrade to this new binocular! Get rid of the old coin-operated binoculars.
We paid $1.50 for 3 mins, and this would be perfect for @UniStudios Hollywood upper lot overlooking the WB lot & San Fernando Valley.
As we were walking around, we came across a live fighting match happening out in the open on a pedestrian street in Guilin, China. 🥊
On this 2hr 39min domestic flight from Beijing to Guilin, still within China, we were served a hot meal in economy on China Southern Airlines. Got chicken fried rice & pork w/noodles.
Meanwhile, domestic flights in the USA just snacks! This flight cost $160 ✈️
Day 24: Flying 3 hours to Guilin to explore its beautiful mountains! ✈️🏔️
We usually take the bullet train whenever our destination is less than 6 hours away 🚅
After traveling to so many countries around the world, China has the strictest airport security checks. Everyone gets a quick, full-body pat-down. Plus, they check all batteries.
That’s why we highly recommend taking the bullet train whenever the journey is less than 5 hours! ✈️
When flying anywhere within China, make sure you buy Power Bank from Amazon with a “CCC” logo. They are very strict about it. They will confiscate it if battery doesn’t have a logo.
Usually they don’t check when you fly home international just domestic. This is why we highly recommend taking bullet train if less than 5 hrs ✈️🔋

If you’re visiting Universal Studios Beijing, make sure to check out the incredible Great Wall of China! It’s located about 53 miles away, roughly a 1.5 to 2 hour drive by Didi (Uber).
Today, we visited the Badaling section of the Great Wall, where most locals visit and it was still amazing!
However, if it’s your first time visiting, we HIGHLY recommend checking out the “Mutianyu” section, which is especially popular with foreign tourists. The views are even better! Plus, after your hike, you can ride a toboggan down the mountain!
Admission to the Badaling section of the Great Wall is $26, including a round-trip funicular ride up and down the mountain
For us, the best time to visit the Great Wall is during spring and summer when everything is green! Right now, the leaves are falling and turning brown.
