I hope my great great grandchildren get to do universe design as a job and play with reality as a hobby ❤️

one word: nah.
ELON: "IN A BENIGN SCENARIO, NONE OF US WILL NEED A JOB" "In a benign scenario, probably none of us will have a job. But in that benign scenario, there will be a universal high income. Not universal basic income, universal high income. There will be no shortage of goods or services. And I think the benign scenario is the most likely scenario, probably, I don’t know, 80% likely in my opinion. The question will not be one of lacking goods or services. Everyone will have access to as much in the way of goods and services as they would like." Source: @elonmusk, @no_one_quits

“Starting is the hardest part” is a cliché misconception. The world is full of starters. If you have access to AI and time, it’s only easier. The question is who keeps going and grows with each setback. “The cowards never started, the weak died along the way. That leaves us”.

Everybody is doing X and I don't want to be everybody, so I want to do Y to be unique, but also, there's a reason why everybody is doing X and X might still be a good business for enough time for me to capture that value. In contrast, Y has a much smaller market, it's much harder to produce, and it's just getting started so I'd have to stick with it for longer to taste the fruits of it. Ultimately, I want to find the Ikigai spot where I do what I like, generate value, and capture it. Those Japanese guys know what they're talking about, but it's kinda weird in practice. I don't wanna end up doing X only because it's in vogue, but also don't wanna do Y while complaining about not getting the same fruits of X, ykwim? Sometimes life is clear with you and says: sis, you don't actually want to succeed - if you did, you'd be doing X. You actually value more the freedom to do Y, just know that you can't ask a fish to climb trees. For me: X = podcast Y = newsletters / articles

I am glad to announce that I graduated from my AI mentee phase this last summer 🥳
We need to face the fact that there’s already a huge number of people, especially younger people, who talk to AI like it’s their friend and carry on near constant conversations with it. What happens when a critical mass of people spend most of their day bonding and communicating with an inhuman algorithm controlled by a trillion dollar tech company? Nobody knows. Most of the dystopian sci fi writers never even envisioned a scenario this bleak. And our leaders have apparently no interest in trying to prevent any of this from happening. Really grim stuff.

I'm biased to think that nobody listens to podcasts anymore because I've switched 90% of my content consumption to text. Do you listen to a podcast (video or audio) for at least 30 min every week? Being honest with yourself, is it ACTUALLY helpful?

I absolutely love @BusinessInsider's dives into the most 'boring' (but actually interesting) industries. It's so easy to forget that everything we call internet depends on meticulously made cables lying on the bottom of the ocean. I'm surprised there haven't there been more 'cyber' attacks already, or maybe we haven't heard of them? I'm still completely ignorant on the subject.
