Over the last several years of creating YouTube videos, I've never felt as dismissed / miniscule as I have during this last experience with @TeamYouTube & every other support avenue I've tried.
My last YouTube video was reported & taken down for Harassment & Cyberbullying, resulting in a takedown & channel strike. After reviewing the timestamp provided from YouTube (that had very little explanation), I assumed YouTube's AI had made a mistake & false flagged something that may have sounded like a slur. After appealing this decision, it only took a few hours for it to come back rejected from YouTube & the decision remain upheld.
In the clip, Larry says "[This] thing's cracking," while quickly looking down at his microphone. His microphone was malfunctioning throughout the entire recording, & there are plenty of moments where it cuts out. Since YouTube only provides a timestamp & does not provide exactly what triggered the violation, I'm left to ASSUME that "cracking" was misheard as "cracker." I'm not here to argue whether that word is a slur, clearly YouTube identifies it as such & I'm here to say my friend did not say that whatsoever. You can literally READ his lips in the video say "cracking." Anyone who can read lips knows 'er' and 'ing' quite literally are pronounced with physical differences from your mouth.
This decision upheld after an appeal is abysmal, considering the fact I went through several support avenues to explain what happened, only being met with a wall. My word being treated with such weightlessness is discouraging and frustrating as a creator, especially after years being on the platform. I may not have millions of subscribers, but you'd think YouTube would consider my history & see I've never had a Community Guidelines violation before this. Instead, I get zero discussion & straight punishment w/ no further explanation or clarification.
If someone mass reported this video (assumption), & that was enough to get it removed despite there being no violation, what does that say about YouTube's report system and those checking it? A company of this size with this much control over creators' livelihoods, there should be a better and more effective way of communicating & to help resolve issues. Any argument about YouTube's automated system or about how many videos get uploaded and reported daily do not excuse my requests for another review being REJECTED without anyone addressing the supporting evidence I'm exclaiming. The proof is in the video itself, there is nothing to reject!
Being told by @TeamYouTube that its internal team considers the decision final is bullshit. My video gets taken down, my channel gets a false Community Guidelines Strike, & I'm forced to take all the downside and deal with repercussions I do not deserve for a word my friend did not say (AGAIN, ASSUMPTION. I have NO clue what the reason is!). I'd feel for anyone in this position because the sense of helplessness is truly overwhelming, especially after putting weeks into a video for it to be snapped out of existence falsely.
@YouTube @YouTubeCreators @TeamYouTube Your AI slop system is bullshit. It may catch plenty of violations, but this process that upholds a false strike & shuts down any request to address the evidence fails. You've not only failed me as a creator, but my audience who were enjoying the content. I feel if I roll over & accept this treatment, I feel it'd happen again & that does not sit well with me.

@TeamYouTube why the hell did this get removed? The timestamp that was given was not even harassment or bullying. This is actually insane
Lastly & honestly most important- If someone is able to spam report / falsely abuse the system of reporting & this decision remains final, what message does that signal to everyone else who will attempt to abuse the system? @TeamYouTube
In the clip, it was either a very muffled "[This] thing's cracking" or you hear another friend say "if you guys don't know this you're pathetic." SURELY that last one isn't the reason, right? It's all up in the air, you've now double downed on the decision & every avenue I go to rectify it gets denied.
If this does not get overturned since it quite literally is not against Community Guidelines, you've done yourself and everyone a huge disservice by allowing people with malintent to false report & win.

i’ve always been curious about this, does the age of footage matter for a youtube video? if it was filmed a week, month, maybe even a year ago, does it matter to you? is it one of those things you don’t want to watch if it’s not recent? or do you just not care at all & want to watch something?
fuck that shit ass minecraft server i’m not coming together to build a brighter future anymore sorry yall the trolls got to me
