Solana Devnet is now back online after a planned restart to revert a feature activation.
The planned restart had no effect on Mainnet.

Solana Devnet will be restarted at 16:00 UTC on June 19th to revert a feature activation.
Expected downtime is minimal. The restart completion will be communicated when devnet is back up.
This does not have any effect on Mainnet.

The Solana community voting process has begun for SIMD-0326: Alpenglow. The vote will take place from epoch 840 until the end of epoch 842. Validator operators should follow voting instructions here: github.com/laine-sa/solgov-d…
The current mainnet-beta epoch is 839, which is the stake weight capture and verification period of the governance process for SIMD-0326: Alpenglow.
Operators are advised to verify stake weights here: github.com/laine-sa/solgov-d… before the start of epoch 840. Voting begins at the start of epoch 840. Voting completes at the end of epoch 842.
The Solana community governance process has begun for SIMD 326 - Alpenglow. Alpenglow is a new consensus algorithm that hopes to achieve 150ms finality on proposed blocks.
Timeline:
Epoch 833 - 838 (approximately 2 weeks): proposal discussion period
Epoch 839: Validator stake weights captured and verified by the community
Epoch 840 - 842 (approximately a week): Voting tokens available to claim and cast votes. Voting completes at the end of epoch 842
