Customers of @SolidEarth - it came to our attention that tonight one of our competitors was calling some of customers creating fear, uncertainty, and doubt about our security platform....
Those who know our company know we have a 30 year track record of transparency.
We have not had any breach of our security.
What was discovered was 0.000833333% of the total users of Solid Earth security platforms had their logins compromised through an externally leaked user / pass combo. These users were not using passkey or multi-factor authentication, which would have prevented this from happening. The unauthorized access allowed someone to send spam-like emails from within the MLS system, disguised to look like Netflix messages.
To be clear, this was not a system breach.
We immediately worked with the MLS to revoke access, audit the accounts, and alert the affected users. We're also continuing to advocate for broader use of passkeys to protect all users more effectively.
