Wow, you see a woman in a hijab and assume she has no agency. Yet you claim to defend women’s freedom? Does that freedom include choosing how to dress, or only dressing in ways you approve of?

Workshop on 'Capacity Strengthening Training on the African Union Transitional Justice Policy', 28- 30.10.2026 #Naivasha. #autjp #civilsociety #capacitystrengthening #transitionaljustice #peacebuilding #reconciliation
The third cohort of the Capacity Strengthening Training on the African Union Transitional Justice Policy (AUTJP) is underway in Naivasha, Kenya!
The Horn of Africa Regional Program (HARP), in collaboration with @_IJR_ and @_CSVR, has convened the 3rd cohort of the African Union Transitional Justice Policy (AUTJP) Capacity-Strengthening Training in Naivasha, Kenya, from 28–30 October 2026.
The training has brought together diverse representatives of civil society and community-Based organisations from across the Horn of Africa and the Great Lakes region to further strengthen their understanding of the AUTJP and explore practical approaches to advancing transitional justice, reconciliation, and sustainable peace in their respective contexts.
For the first time, the training has also included persons with disabilities (PWDs), with Sign Language interpretation provided to support their meaningful participation. This marks an important step towards amplifying voices that are often underrepresented in transitional justice spaces and ensuring that diverse perspectives and lived experiences inform conversations on justice, reconciliation, and sustainable peace.
