UPDATE: Abdiaziz Hassan Laftagareen has issued an open letter to the Somali people, opposition groups, and the international community. He said the current dispute stems from Hassan Sheikh’s unilateral constitutional amendment and urged them to pressure the federal government to end its military campaign in Southwest State.
