Come anticipato, La F1 Commission ha approvato la riduzione della distanza dei GP da 305 a 290 km, in relazione alle modifiche previste al fuel flow delle Power Unit.
La Commissione ha inoltre concordato l'eliminazione del limite complessivo di 3 ore per i GP interrotti, mantenendo quello di 2 ore di gara effettiva e introducendo un orario massimo di conclusione.
Dal 2027 sarà inoltre eliminata l'omologazione dei cambi, per garantire maggiore libertà di sviluppo ai costruttori.
Tutte le modifiche dovranno ricevere l'approvazione definitiva del WMSC.
