Noah Best and Michaels Fasusi are two players I have identified as guys you can run the football behind.
If they Billy Bowman him I stg
Peyton Bowen wasn’t one of the 35 defensive backs on the preseason Jim Thorpe Award watchlist.
But he should have a chance to win the award.
The stats back that up, as Bowen is performing better than most of the 35 guys on the preseason list:

If you’re going to the Thunder game tonight, and you own a Jalen Williams #8 jersey, I’d suggest that this evening would be a good night to wear it.

Is this really that much more speed than the guy going in regular jet motion?
Does abyone ever snap it with a guy 10+ yards behind the LOS?
Just don’t see the effort to coach the motion guy to be moving lateral on the snap is worth any of the practice time.
@RyanPaganetti Bixby using the Canadian Football motion but getting flagged-- would love to hear the justification for flag by the refs. Should be legal, correct?

OKLAHOMA: Really nice win. Liked the plan on off. Calculated risks that paid off as the game went on. QB operated the offense, took check downs, threw the ball away. Much more in control. OC found him 1 on 1's to their best player, low risk. Mixed run game well, zone, duo, gap, involved 1. Liked the east/west stuff early. Limited the QB called runs. LT back really helped. Backup center came in & held tings down. 6 & 9 did a nice job just getting tough yards. Collectively felt like they knew how the game was unfolding & went with it. As committed to the run as I've seen them this year. Huge game from 1, consistently won matchups & had big grabs in must have moments. 81 solid all around. Defense flew around. 10 played fast, gutting out the flu. 38 attacked before things developed, found the ball. Couple silly flags. Moment up front made them some plays & gave up a few yards. 0 really good. 44 good on back side of runs. The affected the pocket. QB scramble got them a few times. Tackled extremely well. 22 fantastic rinding the ball & making solo stops in space. 34 really good off the edge. Kicking game inconsistent. Bounce back road win in conference.

This city lives and dies with our Thunder. We support them on the court, as representatives of our city off the court, and as people that feel as familiar to us as our friends and neighbors. They’re our guys.
It’s been a thrill for all of us to have JDub back on the court this season. His terrible injury tonight came just a minute or so after he had us all out of our seats for one of his signature moments. We’ll now have to hang on to that moment for awhile.
Our whole city will have JDub in our thoughts and prayers as he deals with this adversity and as he makes his way through his recovery. We are also thinking of his teammates Cason Wallace and Jaylin Williams, who also left the game tonight with injuries.
I took these pictures tonight. We can’t wait till the day @jdubwttp levitates above the court again with ease. We’ll be there to cheer his return, however long it takes.

OU Football just needs to embrace the short term goal of being chaos gremlins. Win this week. Expect nothing. Repeat.

The John Mateer running jump throw touchdown to Isaiah Sategna before halftime was one of the best plays of Mateer's career at Oklahoma
*This* version of Mateer will give OU a chance in every game they play the rest of the way
