"Comforting lies take precedence over uncomfortable realities. People want to feel good, not do good."
This should absolutely absolutely be @MontgomeryCoMD official motto!
Hey @iamwesmoore what is @reidtempleame stance on child transitioning/"reassignment surgery"? We're all curious.
Clark has been posting straight up fire 🔥 and interesting/shocking stories of Maryland's past.
Definitely worth a follow.
One of my biggest regrets is never serving in the military. Having graduated high school in ‘77, I was between wars & active conflicts.
I was however shot at once, at close range when I interrupted a rapist at the College Park campus in 1980. I was running the perpetrator down when he reached for his midsection, pivoted, and shot two rounds over my head. I was hugging the ground, and then started running in the other direction.
I’m telling this story to make the claim that I was under fire more than our stolen valor @GovWesMoore ever was!
I respect Moore for his military service, but that respect evaporated when he claimed to have been awarded a bronze star 20-years before it was actually awarded, and for claiming he led troops into battle and was in direct enemy fire!

You’re the Governor of Maryland, and your focus should be to make the lives of Marylanders better!
Lower our taxes!
Lower the fees on such things as car registration!
Drop the 47-cent gas tax until the Iran waff red is over!
Rebuild the FSK bridge!
Those are the types of issues you should be focused on!
PS Question 3 just might cost you the election!

You’ve never met a non-problem that you can’t solve! You love to act like a Mr. Tough Guy but you wouldn’t even debate @EstherLWells
Back to rent control, how about property tax control! Lord only knows what 🤬’d up algorithms you & the Council used to jack up property taxes beyond current resale value!
And you do realize that when property taxes are raised, landlords increase rents to cover their own elevated costs, right?
That’s the problem with extreme socialists, you don’t understand that every action has a reaction! Landlords have no choice but to raise rents after the Council hikes up property taxes!
Woo hoo! Hundreds of millions of your money spent to slightly boost school attendance. But not learning or skills. Hmmmm.
The Blueprint for Maryland’s Future dedicated substantially more money and support to high-poverty schools as part of a broader effort to improve student performance, close achievement gaps and reduce barriers, including chronic absenteeism.
Five years into the state’s $30 billion, 10-year education overhaul, attendance is improving faster at many of those schools than statewide. But most are not keeping pace with gains in English and math proficiency, a Baltimore Sun analysis found, raising questions about whether the investment is translating into the stronger academic performance legislators promised.

Just like demoncrats to just throw money at the problems rather than determine where the problem is.
Nobody can top @GovJVentura when it comes to branded swag for a governor's campaign. He had his own action figure!

This shows exactly how you feel about peoples rights. Our right to privacy is supersede by your desperation to gain power. Go away.

This is politics without consent and it’s one of the worst things both parties do.
Spot on. This is my broader point about speed cameras aka the scam boxes.
They are purely for state revenue. Nothing more. They started in school zones. Fine. Now they blanket Montgomery County. Hundreds of them.
For real?
Damn are all DC-NYC cable "news" rooms and studios just incestuous, strange cabals?
Definitely don't trust any of these people to give me actual "news" beyond maybe some foreign correspondence desk reporting.
Fox News stars Ainsley Earhardt and Sean Hannity tied the knot on Saturday at the historic Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea in Palm Beach, Florida, returning to the place where Hannity proposed over Christmas in 2024.
Surrounded by their children, relatives and closest friends, the couple exchanged vows in a heartfelt ceremony that reflected their shared faith and the importance of family in their lives.
