IM MAKING AN ANIMATED SHORT FILM! And it’s gonna have rocket launches and realistic orbital mechanics and moon landings and anthro animals and it’s called Loihi! And even though I’m setting aside many hours every day to animating it, I still would like some help! If you wanna voice act, or help me with the gargantuan amount of artwork that needs to be made to get this thing complete like concept art, storyboards, backgrounds (2D or 3D for all of these) I’d appreciate it immensely! I can’t offer much besides a name in the credits and we won’t complete the finished product at least until next year, but it’ll be a hell of a cool feeling once it’s done!

first of my sketched ideas might not be 100% accurate to the real thing but I'm really happy with it

A look into the new Centaur V - Orion design Looks awesome, if only the original NASA didn't design such a handicapped Orion.

How it feels to manually download and figure out the dependencies for a 100+ mod install of KSP without CKAN

Working on backgrounds of a rocket factory for my film, Loihi. Had a tough time figuring out how to make such a big room feel interesting, but these patches of light on the floor and walls from some skylights felt really nice

This has to be the best animation SpaceX has ever made. I can't think of one that's better.

Lmfao a guy on the r/rocketry Discord server just posted a gif made by a Blue Origin insider that not just contains a new leaked angle of the NG-4 RUD, but also an internal dev name of a project called “Northstar”

Been researching just what the hell has been going on with ESA’s Themis hopper and God damn, over 6 years for a Grasshopper equivalent planning on flying just a tenth of its altitude is a pretty dire. There’s apparently a chance that they get defunded if they miss the next deadline but it seems pretty likely that these don’t really mean anything and they’ll just get another extension if they don’t hop by the end of this year

Five Nights At Boston Dynamics

Introducing Hugo: the first human companion robot. At Boston Dynamics, I was Chief Strategy Officer, bringing robots into the real world. My co-founder, Farbod Farshidian, led research at the RAI Institute. Together, 15+ years teaching robots to run, jump, and work. So we asked: what if robots could connect with people? Hugo runs on the first Vision-Language-Expression (VLE) model. He links what he sees and hears to movement, expression, and gesture. He notices you, reads the room, and reacts in real time. And he's only the first. Dynamic Creatures is @BostonDynamics' official entertainment and hospitality partner. We're building a cast of characters with film studios, resorts, and theme parks. dynamiccreatures.com
