If your kid goes missing, do not wait 24 hours. That rule is a myth. Federal law bars police waiting periods for missing child reports. The report is supposed to be in the FBI's NCIC database within 2 hours. Call police first. Then NCMEC: 1-800-THE-LOST. Did you know this?
