Lots of modern “leftists” have no real ideology of their own. They outsource their conscience to the collective. That’s how they can condemn racism while being racist themselves, or preach women’s liberation while denying agency to women they don’t consider respectable enough. They let the current vibe of the collective decide who deserves the principles they claim to believe in.

We've now seen at the federal level and provincial level that the south Asian community has swung hard to the right.
