🚀 Thinking about coming to our Space Social on your own?
You're definitely not the only one.
We looked back at the bookings for our last two Space Socials with Chris Sembroski and Daniel Tani.
More than one in every three bookings was for just one person.
And it's not just General Admission. More than four in ten VIP bookings were made by people coming on their own.
You don't have to know anyone before you arrive. You already have something in common with everyone else in the room: You love space. 🚀
People come to our Space Socials from all sorts of backgrounds; families, engineers, teachers, students, collectors, enthusiasts and people who simply want to experience something they've never experienced before.
Some arrive with friends. Some arrive with family. Plenty arrive by themselves. Then they find themselves surrounded by people who are just as excited to be there.
That's the community we're building with The Armchair Astronaut.
So if you've been thinking about joining us for Doug Hurley on Saturday 7th November, but wondering whether you'd feel out of place coming alone... You won't. 🚀
Who's coming on their own? Give us a 👋 below!

On Sept 6, 1969, Neil Armstrong returned to his hometown of Wapakoneta for a homecoming celebration after successfully landing on the Moon.
An estimated 80,000 people took part in the festivities, with many lining the parade route to get a glimpse of Ohio’s humble hero.
For my friends sitting on the fence, for this to happen you need to get behind my good friend Rowland Lindill the The Armchair Astronaut. It is the first time Doug Hurley has spoken in the U.K. even in America he is a very rare speaking engagements. This is a real coup!! 🚀🚀🚀
🚀 Some stories are best told by the people who lived them.
You can read about the final Space Shuttle mission in books. You can watch videos of the first crewed SpaceX Dragon launch online. But nothing compares to hearing those experiences from the astronaut who was there.
On Saturday 7th November, NASA astronaut Doug Hurley will share his extraordinary journey.
There will be stories behind the headlines, moments that never made the news, and the opportunity to ask Doug your own questions during our live audience Q&A.
History is fascinating. Meeting the people who made it is unforgettable.

On August 10, 1969, the crew of Apollo 11 was released from quarantine! The strict 20 day protocol was put in place to ensure no potential lunar pathogens were brought back and spread on Earth.
NASA ultimately dropped the quarantine requirement after Apollo 14.
Always in my heart dearest @WordenAlfred
Astronaut Al Worden performed the first deep-space spacewalk on August 5, 1971, as the Apollo 15 spacecraft returned to Earth after six days at the Moon. He later captured the emotion of his experience in a poem entitled "Floating."
I float outside to look around
Slowly, soundlessly,
And my security cord lengthens.
Poised in flight
Cloudy frail earth sails on;
My world Endeavour
Is bathed in light of a burning sun
Trapped by lunar day on the other side—
Nowhere is my vantage point
Between the earth and moon.
