@Adobe: AI-referred retail traffic grew 71% YoY in September. Those visitors converted 90% better than other traffic. AI Discovery is becoming a revenue channel. Retailers should treat it like one. Our CEO @KuruvillaMaju explains why: spangle.ai/insights/ai-disco…

We’re pretty good at building things. Not bad at selling them either. Marketing? That’s why we’re hiring. :) Looking for our first product marketer at Spangle. Someone who thinks strategically, has strong opinions, and loves doing the actual work. You’ll work directly with me. @SpangleAI ats.rippling.com/en-GB/spang…

Every year at NRF, thousands of technology vendors showcase impressive products and results. But how much of that success translates into better outcomes for retailers? I had a candid conversation with @DelRey from @ReadTheAisle about this, what we’re building at @SpangleAI, and the challenges ahead. readtheaisle.com/p/spangle-n…

Enjoyed discussing the future of AI and commerce with @zackiew1 at Sourcing Journal/@wwd, including what we’re learning at @SpangleAI through our work with @express. Thanks, Arthur, for the thoughtful conversation. wwd.com/sourcing-journal/ind…

Today’s Claude Duet announcement is worth watching for retail. Anthropic is building a persistent personal agent primarily for work, but it’s already integrating Link and Shop Pay. Shopping could increasingly emerge from tasks that never started as shopping. Retailers need to think about how their products get considered when an AI agent already understands what the customer needs.

We’re opening a research preview of Claude Duet, a new app where Claude works as a proactive agent. It comes to you with what needs your attention, completes tasks you ask of it, keeps working when you step away, and checks with you before it acts on your behalf.

Making inventory available to AI agents is the starting point. Winning their business is a different problem. Retailers spent decades learning how to merchandise and sell to people. Now they’ll need to learn how to sell to the agents shopping for them.

Imagine an ecosystem where buyer agents can shop across retailers, and every retailer has a chance to compete for their business. Buyer agents need to find the best deal. Retailers need the ability to make their best offer and win the sale. Both sides need intelligence working for them.

Yesterday, in a conversation with John Collison on Cheeky Pint, Mark Zuckerberg said: “Just like today every business has […] a website and social media accounts and email addresses […] every business is going to have agents too.” That’s exactly the future we’re building for at Spangle. Today, we’re introducing Spangle Muse, our brand-trained AI seller agent for ecommerce retailers. As AI agents increasingly shop on behalf of consumers, we believe retailers need AI working on their side, too. AI that understands their brand, their products, and their business. Here’s a first look at Muse.
