Perhaps one of my biggest inspirations for getting into #writing has always been three video games.
Spyro the Dragon (where I first discovered my love of dragons), Kingdom Hearts, and Final Fantasy (which drew me to stories about hope and courage, even in life's darkest moments)
Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy, in particular, are two series I have enjoyed for many years. Even as my storytelling style changes and evolves, I will always lean on the idea that when all else fails, hope remains your greatest weapon against doubt and despair.
Does that mean it will be easy? Heck no. But hope is always worth fighting for. At the very least, it is a character's greatest act of defiance in a world that tries to stamp it out. #IndieWriting #Fantasy #FinalFantasy #KingdomHearts
My visual library for The Spectra Saga keeps growing thanks to the talented art of Nyverin, @TalesofKaimere, @XbOxKaT1, and @Cyrilcynder.
I would be honored if you would join me on this journey.

Lore for The Realms of Hestia posted on my Patreon page. Since there is only so much I can write on twitter, heh.

Wraiths in the realms of Hestia are a peculiar topic. While all Wraiths are hostile to the living, their shapes vary by individual, and their personalities are never uniform.
The Wraith that haunts Lonetree is even more peculiar, as it retains a human-like shape.

Rule number 1 in The Oldest House: Assume every job involving an Altered Object is serious...like *end of the world* serious.
Samuel Silvertongue: A storyteller traveling the realms of Norenthia alongside his faithful companion, Brewster.
He means well, but Samuel sometimes gets himself into situations that Aveline has to pull him out of.

A well-made, informative video. I always appreciate videos like this because they teach us about the real animal and its counterpart in Kaimere.
Cheetahs are remarkable predators, with peerless speed and surprising adaptability. Though wild cheetahs are extinct in the known world, they are quite successful in realms beyond, thriving in the badlands such as deserts, mountains, and arid forests.

The titular character of The Witch of Lonetree, Elika Goldenseal.
As the witch of Lonetree, Elika protects the village through spiritual means, warding off fiends. Because of her witchcraft, Lonetree is one of the only towns in Norenthia that does not fear the night.
However, when a Wraith starts to haunt the village and murders people who leave their homes at night, terror grips the population. Desperate to find the cause of this Wraith, she creates a contract with whatever small funds the village can put together.
One Aveline accepts.
The adventure continues in The Witch of Lonetree, releasing October 7th on Amazon.

I appreciate it when fantasy worldbuilding intentionally leaves some things obscure. It adds a layer of wonder and invites theories. Even better is when these obscure aspects of the world are never, ever explored.
Sometimes, you do not need to know the truth of a world myth.
As an added plus: When you have a god who takes mortal form and knows everyone wants the truth of a myth, but is cheeky and coy, frustrating everyone by refusing to answer the question.

Mavis Brightpalm, Aveline Caldersdottir's mentor. With a healthy mix of confidence and wit: Mavis' resourcefulness has helped her complete contracts that even the most veteran monster hunter would deem suicidal.
