If you're trading Quenton Nelson for a third and a fifth two weeks out from the trade deadline, then I think you are in FULL fire sale mode. I don't think it's terrible compensation or anything. Just mean they aren't hesitating. Feels like the Colts are all in.

Was told by a few sources the price for Quenton Nelson would be around a second or third-round pick. Turned out true with a 2027 three and a 2028 five coming from Seattle.
Same people thought RB Jonathan Taylor would cost a second-round pick and possibly more.

Not many guards are considered one of the faces of the franchise, but Quenton Nelson has been that for the Colts. but Indy was't all that aggressive in getting an extension done this offseason with Nelson and he was slated to be a free agent after the season. It's rare an OL player is available at the deadline and the Seahawks jumped at it with the extra capital they had in the upcoming draft.
